Avalonian Ascendancy

The Avalonian Ascendancy also known as the First Illuminate was a large state that at points controlled much of Avalon in early and middle history. The Ascendancy was an authoritarian, imperialistic empire that prioritized expansion, subjugation and a policy of resource extraction in conquered territories. It was the first state to achieve a semi-global status and at points directly controlled over 60% of the population. The Ascendancy maintained power in one form or another for one hundred years, before being overthrown by The Revolution in the year 78.
